Competition Round Up

A huge well done to all our swimmers who competed at London open on Saturday, a fantastic day all round.
A big thank you to all the parent volunteers who supported the swimmers and the competition. A special mention to Jane Khan who gave up her time to team manage even though her daughter wasn’t swimming on Saturday, thank you Jane we value you as a volunteer and all you do for the club. Thank you to Andrew and Agnese for judging we would not be able to enter these events without you. We do definitely need more parents to come forward to train as team managers, now some of our newer parents have attended a competition maybe you think you could be more hands on involved please let me know. The team managers course is only half a day and the club will pay for this for you. Or of course if you would like to train as a poolside coaching assistant or a judge please let me know as we have some courses coming up over the summer.

More medals for the under 12’s at Scottish Nationals

The two under 12 solos both did very well today and both secured medals.  Carla won the gold medal which was one of 4 gold medals she got over the competition.  Lily also had a great competition and secured a medal in all events.  Lily’s solo won the bronze medal. They were swimming for London Region Squad and both showed off their potential as young swimmers.

Carla and Lily were then joined by their team mates Aisling and Olivija to swim the under 12 Happy Feet team.  This team normally swims with 8 swimmers and was adjusted last week at High Wycombe Camp to swim as a team of 4.  The girls adjusted quickly and knew they would have to give an outstanding performance as they would start with a 2 point penalty for having less than 8 swimmers.  However they all had outstanding figures results and this put them in a good position. The team swam very well and we are please to announce another GOLD medal.

Congratulations

Scottish Nationals – under 12’s take top spot on day 1 of the competition

6 swimmers travelled to Scottish for the National Championships this weekend.

4 of our under 12 National Squad took part in the competition today.  They competed in both figures and duet.  They have plenty to celebrate as Carla and Lily won the gold medal and their team mates Aisling and Olivija won the silver medal.  This was after a successful figure competition, where Carla won the gold medal and Lily the silver.  Aisling came 5th and Olivija 6th in figures.  The team and solos swim tomorrow and we wish the girls the best of luck.  They are certainly starting in a positive position after great figure results.

Irene and Ariana also competed in the competition and it was great to see both swimmers scoring well in figure and finishing in the top end of the competition.  Irene came 17th and Ariana 22nd.

well done girls

Rosie Rallings selected for the England Junior Squad

Well done.

GB trial

Three of our swimmers – Rosie R, Ariana S, Megan P will be attending the GB trial tomorrow.

Best of luck from all of us!

Aquavision won the London Cup second year in a row!

Well done to all the girls who attended the London Cup on Saturday.
Credit due to our girls and volunteer helpers and all the parents who attended the competition which ended with a lot of clinking of medals and winning the overall cup for this competition.
These competitions are a continual learning experience, and show in essence how the girls are able to work together and support each other to be the best that they can be in synchro.  Their achievements in this competition are a testament to this, bearing in mind that this was a first competition for some of our younger girls.
We are so proud of each and everyone of them.  So very very well done.
A-Q-U-A- AQUAVISION ALL THE WAY LET’S GO…….
